Blurred figures of ocean blue and life-giving green are coming into focus for the first time. Is this a microscopic view from under a lens, or a macro view of a new world’s inception?

The Artwork in the Metamorphosis series is both dreamlike and evocative. Not everyone who looks at it will see the exact same thing, but they will see something. I love to explore the use of color, line, shape and texture to also elicit strong feelings and emotions as well as the other four senses.
I like to play with the boundary between “recognizable” and “abstract.” These paintings are like watching smoke - one minute it looks like bears, the next a dragon, then a waterfall etc.... Each image is a frozen instant before it metamorphoses into something else. Depending on what your own personality, background and worldview is, the image that comes into focus for you is one of personal meaning.
